I am so very honored to be part of a this very special creative journey with the wildly popular LifeBook that is beginning in 2015.
For those of you that don’t know about LifeBook, it was created by Tamara LaPorte, who is an incredible artist and a simply lovely and big hearted human being. And is a year long art journal and mixed media art process for women to explore the many different aspects of their outer lives and inner worlds through the power of creative self expression.
Which is of course right up my alley. And she generously invited me to be one of many amazing guest teachers for the Life Book process.
There are so many things about LifeBook that resonate with MY core values such as the power of being part of a creative community, the emphasis on art as a path to healing and wholeness and the opportunity to use art to learn more about who you really are in a really fun and playful way.

I’m really thrilled to be teaching side by side with many creative folks that I already know and love, like Andrea Schroeder, Effy Wild and Flora Bowley. And of course, I’m greatly looking forward to getting to know the other juicy artists that are on the LifeBook team this year.
During my teaching segment I will be taking you on a deep creative journey, giving you a taste of a genuine intuitive painting process, where you will learn how to trust in your OWN creative voice and discovering what it means to paint like YOU and no one else!
There will also be a blog hop over the next couple of weeks where all of the teachers in the LifeBook community will be posting about themselves and their relationship to LifeBook. Which is a great way to get introduced to these many extraordinary artists.

I would love this experience because I love art journaling and I would so welcome the wirking and playing with you for the first time and Flora Bowley whom I’m familiar with now and the other teachers whom I don’t know. I am getting in balance again after a long neck injury recovery and stress and I am moving abroad in less than two wks A lot of work just finishing up here in selling our home and furniture and shipping my art supplies and some books and an easle! I have my beloved big art journal with me still and my watercolors. Today I will paint a pale pink rose of Sharon blooming near the deck where I’m housesitting and incorporate my journaling in ink and collage with it. I plan to share the exoressive arts and my background in special Ed and counseling psych (jfku) and continue creating my own art and also love plein air watercolor, so would like to share that with groups for healing and wellbeing as my new right livelihood when we get settled in our new English countryside adventure. I’ve done LB 2013 &2014, winning a spot for 2015 would be awesome. I started LB when I went on disability I felt like I lost my identity. I didn’t have an artistic bone in my body, but Life Book exposed me to so many wonderful and talented artists with a wide variety of styles. I deal with a chronic illness and feel pretty sick most of the time. Lifebook just changed everything.it gave my life structure, hope and more. I am in LifeBook 2014 but because of health, family and recovery from a flood disaster circumstances beyond my control have not been able to do any of the lessons (but have been downloading and saving when I can). Hi, it would be incredible to win a spot in this beautiful Gift of Art and Teaching. Several years ago, I was diagnosed with a disease call Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy. My whole life changed. I ended up in a wheelchair for over a year. Many surgery’s later and lots of Medications, I was able to walk again. My Doctors told me to spend time with Art. It would lower my chronic pain. I couldn’t believe it. But it worked. And it still works. Art has been a wonderful part of lowering my physical pain. I know how much comfort it brings to so many people. Altho I am still disabled, I would LOVE the opportunity to share my story, My love of Art, and the healing it can bring. I need to take this time to learn… sit under your teaching and work on techniques. I would love to win this spot because it would take me to the next level with my own creativity. and give me the support I need to start giving back to other. to encourage, those who deal with chronic pain. How exciting that you get to draw names on your birthday! I hope it is a spectacular day for you :) I have only been doing lifebook since January this year and I just adore it so I will be doing LB15 one way or the other whether I pay for it or get a free ride. If I do get a free ride it just means I have more money to spend on supplies or my favourite artists other classes :) I’m so excited!
I would be so excited to participate as one of the giveaway spots for Life Book 2015. I have a girl friend who partipcated in one of the previous years and her artwork from it is awe- inspiring. She also talked about how it fueled her soul creativily and helped her feel centred in her life. This year has brought many changes and challenges. I have tried to work through it by investing in myself with as many tutorials and classes as I can. However, being on a budget and having a growing family ( 2 1/2 years and 7 months) sometimes it is not feasible to enrol in the classes that might give you the biggest challenges, best rewards, and contemplative soul searching. I hope to be chosen as a candidate for one of the sponsored spots as it would greatly impact my day to day life and growth in a positive way. Practicing art for me is all about losing myself in the process. I am a member of an altered books group and I love the collaborative nature of our round robins and find so much inspiration from sharing with other artists. I would love to win a chance to participate in Lifebook 2015. This last year I have made a big commitment to practicing art journaling with SPECTRUM which has been a tremendous help on the path to finding my own voice/style and letting go of likes and dislikes. Lifebook 2015 would be an awesome continuation of my process. I live in Sydney, Australia and the online offering of art/self developement course is a lifesaver to my creative self.

I have loved Tam’s wonderful whimsical gift through her courses and her Life Book. I also absolutely love the teachers on this line up this coming year. Growing up in western society, left me feeling guilty whenever I wasn’t making money and distracted constantly by entertainment. I always dreamed of living in Central America, so in January 2014 I made the choice, sold nearly everything I owned, packed up my two dogs and drove 8 days(!) south to live in Belize. I’m not a tourist, I live here now with my two Canadian dogs. From observing one of the kindest most creative societies, I’ve learned to take time out of each day to do absolutely nothing. I don’t have TV, I have a limited amount of internet to do my work and gather inspiration. I have accomplished more in the last 8 months than I have in the past 8 years, and grown as a person. I hope 2015 (and a spot on the course) propel me forward even further!

My biggest reasons for wanting to be part of Lifebook 2015: Confidence in my art, and that translating into my everyday… getting to have such a fantastic mix of teachers and beautiful artwork to show for it. I can’t imagine why someone wouldn’t want to do this!

I would be happy-dance thrilled to win a spot for the class. As a live-in caretaker for a relative, I am unable to get away for more than a few hours at a time. Learning and creating with mixed media has become my outlet. I am just a beginner so every class helps me, and this one sounds like the superbowl of classes.

I would love to win a place for various reasons. The main one because I keep entering lifebook giveaways and not winning so actually winning would make me feel good ;) The other reason is that lifebook 2014 was my intro to art…having never picked up a paintbrush before and believing I couldn’t draw. I love it. I love the community, the teachers and their different skills, the excitement of monday,s and makin things that make me feel proud of myself. I have suffered low self esteem for years and creating things just for me, with the pressure removed is a beautiful thing. I love Tam’s approach to freedom in art and want to remain on the wonderful ride through 2015. :)

I would love to win a spot in lifebook 2015!! I am so busy with working fulltime and going to school fulltime that I often forget to take any time to do something I enjoy, this would give me the perfect reason and boost to stay creative
My dog has natural veg plus I create it all up into a smoothie. I have changed his diet today plus am struggling to lay off of the aspartate and glutamate completely. I also feed some organic fruit plus natural free range grass fed meaty bones.
