Celebrating Our Superpowers

Recently, in one of my sacred creativity circles, a women shared about how flabbergasted she was when she heard me nonchalantly talk about my superpowers without apology, justification or disclaimer and without it being a big deal.

Like it was the most natural thing in the world.

And how much it boggled her brain that it could be that effortless and easy. And inspired her to think that maybe that ease in owning her own gifts was a not-too-far-distant-in-the-future possibility.

It made me realize once again how every time we celebrate our inherent genius out loud it opens the door for another woman to do the same thing.

  1. Saw this posted in the office of a woman who ran a food bank. She looked exhausted and I sensed she was seriously underpaid. However she was maintaining a sense of humor I thought:
“Common sense is so rare it should be considered a superpower.”
