I have two Painting From The Wild Heart retreats coming up at the Ghost Ranch Conference Center in September and they are both close to being full. If you have been longing to come but have been a bit short of the funds to make it happen I have an amazingly generous opportunity that might make it possible for you to attend.
A delightful woman from my mailing list, signed up last year but couldn’t make it . And she had given me a $250 deposit for the retreat that was non-refundable but was held in escrow by me for her to use at a future date. She just recently emailed me and said that she wanted to offer that $250 as a partial scholarship for another person who wanted to come to the retreat this year but couldn’t afford the full amount.
So I am excited to be announcing the creation of the Katey Simetra Scholarship Fund!
This is how it’s going to work. If you would like to come to one of the retreats in September, and this $250 would make it possible for you to be there, please leave a response to this prompt in the comments:
“What I love most about intuitive painting.”
I will be holding a random drawing to choose the winner and will be making the announcement on Sunday, July 15th.
Best of luck to you all and HUGE thanks to the BIG HEARTED Katey Simetra!!

What I love most about intuitive painting… is that it’s completely ALIVE! Within a minute or two of straying from the intuitive my body reminds me through one of a number of ways that I’ve strayed off the path. Alarms and red lights go off all over the place and I find my way back… to LIFE! This process has spread out into all the other parts of my life, helping me to really know and choose the path of most aliveness in whatever I’m doing. I also love it because it bypasses my defense mechanisms, helping me reach deeper places than my mind usually lets me go to, and I need to feel those places and see those things, whatever they are. The side-benefits of swimming in beautiful wet colors is so sensual and satisfying, and so often the result gives a feeling of completion that nothing else compares to. Thank you, Chris, for all the years that I had getting that process so deeply ingrained with your guidance – it’s served me so well! xoxoxo
