"The Road goes ever on and on
down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
and I must follow if I can.
Pursuing it with weary feet,
until it joins some larger way
where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.
--J. R. R. Tolkien
Wouldn't you like to know what the next adventures, challenges and opportunities along your Road might be, and how best to meet them? Forewarned is forearmed...
A knowledge of natal astrology is a great start, but far from the whole picture. A birth chart is like a snapshot of the heavens at the moment you were born, and is read as the soul's lesson plan for this entire incarnation. But when and how will those lessons occur?
A birth chart is a static snapshot, yet the planets kept on moving after you were born. Their wandering road through the heavens corresponds to the current leg of your life's journey here below. We can't know every detail of what lies ahead on our path, but astrology can tell us where we're traveling now and what we're meant to learn along the way.
In this two day intensive workshop, we'll study transits and progressions, two major and time-honored techniques for reading our current astrological road map and the valuable guidance it can offer us. Whether you use or plan to use astrology with clients, or to understand your friends and yourself better, this workshop will help you better navigate wherever the Road takes you.
There will be lots of practice with participants' charts--please give your birth data to the coordinator when you register.

Transportation:
The closest airport is the Oakland International Airport (OAK), which is about a 20 minute drive to the Creative Juices Arts Studio and neighboring hotels.
Past participants have recommended these sources for locating inexpensive airline tickets:
Southwest Airlines: www.southwest.com
Expedia: www.expedia.com
Travelocity: www.travelocity.com
Others who have purchased on-line airline tickets recommend that after you have located your best priced ticket from Expedia or Travelocity, before you purchase tickets from them, check out the same flight on the website of the applicable airline and see what their lowest fare is for that flight. Sometimes it costs even less to buy direct!
Car rental services are available at the airport. Please check with your chosen airline to see if you can reserve a car along with your flight. Alternatively, you can use public transportation (see below for public transit information).
Please ask us for hotel recommendations.
Public Transportation from the Airport:
The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) train service can help you travel from the airport to our studio. First, after you get off the plane, you'll need to take an "AirBART" shuttle-bus from the airport to the train station. Then you'll ride the train into downtown Oakland. Finally, another municipal bus can bring you within a short walking distance from our studio.
Travel light! The bus and train rides are easy and convenient, but please don't bring large or heavy luggage, nor any irreplaceable valuables.
From the airport, take the "AirBART" shuttle bus to the Coliseum / Oakland Airport BART train station. Please click here for more information about the AirBART shuttle bus service from the airport to the train station.
Exit the AirBART bus at the Coliseum / Oakland Airport BART train station. Board the next BART train bound for "Richmond". (The city of Richmond is at the end of the line -- you won't be going that far.)
The BART train will take you past the "Fruitvale" BART station, then past the "Lake Merritt" station (DO NOT exit the train at the Lake Merritt station!) ... Stay on the train as it takes you past the "Oakland City Center / 12th St." station. Exit the train at the 19th St. Oakland station.
At the 19th St. Oakland BART station, find the station attendant's booth and ask for directions to the intersection of Broadway and 20th St. Exit the station and walk to the intersection of Broadway and 20th.
Go to the southwest corner of the intersection of Broadway & 20th, where you'll find an AC Transit Bus stop. Wait for a bus which has a destination sign that says: "Eastmont Transit Ctr." Ride to Grand Avenue at Perkins Street.
Exit the bus on Grand Avenue at Perkins, and walk 3 blocks east to Bellevue Avenue. Turn left on Bellevue. Our studio is located at 432 Bellevue, on the right-hand side of the street.
Click here to see a map of our studio location.
